Returns and Exchanges

Please select your items with care and consideration as Erté Mae does not accept change of mind returns. 

In the unlikely event that you discover a fault with one of our pieces please contact us via hello@mintmelbourne.com.au so that we can organise a repair or replacement for you. Erté Mae reserves the right to determine the best approach for rectifying any faults.

Please note that returns on faulty good are not accepted unless received within 14 days of receipt of goods

 

Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty

At Erté Mae we design and handcraft genuine heirloom quality pieces, and warrant that all items are free from any manufacturing defects. If you believe your jewellery has been damaged as a result of a manufacturing defect please get in touch with us via hello@mintmelbourne.com.au and we will guide you through the process of sending your jewellery back to us for assessment.

Once received we will assess your jewellery and if we determine that the damage is due to a manufacturing defect we will repair or replace it depending on what we deem appropriate.

Erté Mae does not cover damage to jewellery caused by normal wear and tear or through any fault, negligence or mishandling of the wearer, this can be covered by the owner/s insurance at their discretion.

Our jewellery should be handled carefully; as outlined in our care guide. Please be aware that gemstones and diamonds are not guaranteed against chips, wear and tear or loss. We recommend all types jewellery and stone(s)to be insured by a third party, as damage, loss of goods or stones are not covered by our warranty. 

If any other jeweller undertakes work on one of our pieces without our prior approval, including resizing or repairs, the warranty will be voided.

 

Resizing

Our engagement rings include one complimentary resize, up or down 2 sizes, valid for 2 months from the date the customer receives their ring. If your ring needs to go up more than 2 sizes a fee will be applied. 

Our wedding bands/stackables do not include a complimentary resize.

 

Stones

Erté Mae uses natural stones. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure that the colours represented on our website are accurate, the online images may vary in shade and colour and may not always exactly match the colours in the jewellery piece purchased.

     

Shipping and handling

All rings in our collections are made to order and will be dispatched within 6 weeks of receipt of payment.  All unique one off pieces leave the studio within 1-3 business days. 

Australian domestic orders with a value under $20,000 are sent registered express via Australia Post. You will be contacted on dispatch of your order with a tracking number which you can check at www.auspost.com.au.  All orders with a greater dollar value are sent via courier.

Erté Mae ships worldwide. All international orders shipped outside of Australia are shipped using FedEx International Priority. Most shipments arrive within 2-5 business days, however the customs process in each country may vary and occasionally packages may be take longer to arrive.

All pieces are fully insured while in transit and shipping costs are included in the purchase price of your order.

 

Duties and taxes

Occasionally, dependant on the recipient country and the relevant import laws, duties and taxes may be payable. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these may be necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.
